CHRISTMAS DAY IS ONE WEEK AWAY & LARRY'S COMING HOME!   (12.18.22)

The great news is... LARRY IS COMING HOME FOR 4 DAYS FOR CHRISTMAS!

Every day he gains a little more strength & mobility. Therapies are very specific for him to gain independence.  Larry said "I'm excited!" about coming home. First time to say that word in 6 months.

Clinging on to hope & carried by grace in RCH's ICU. Believing in our heart of hearts that Larry/Dad is soothed by the love of each of us as we hold his hand, stroke his feet, speaking words of love and encouragement, with our hand on his head & heart speaking aloud a powerful prayer for healing.

IT'S BEEN A WHILE

When I'm in a rough patch, I'd rather write than chat about it. It's a tall mountain we're climbing, steep & rugged (LITTLE DID WE KNOW WHAT LIE AHEAD) sometimes & thankfully, beautiful meadows, with wonderful views, restore us & keep us going. Thanks for accompanying us!

ONCOLOGIST SAID " WONDERFUL '

Good report from oncologist today re: CT scan. She gave me practical things to do to help remedy some of the lingering side effects from chemo, that may last for a while. We appreciate the tremendous support of so many! God bless you!

THE DOCTOR CALLED WITH WHAT WE'RE LOOKING AT!

My voice gives no indication of being glad, but we're grateful that we know what we're looking at. The Doctor began with "Its more gooder than badder!" Click on 'Blog' for details & a website with info to help understand why chemo & radiation are in my near future.

FIRST NATURE WALK, SINCE SURGERY... BRIEF, BUT LOVELY

Hopefully we'll get fresh air every day & add a few steps each time.
Thyroid biopsy tomorrow (Wed.) at 9:45. No call yet re: pathology results.

You'll just have to take my word for it, "I'm having a really good hair day!"
