It's kind'a hurry up and wait mode as far as what's ahead for my treatments. I'll report what happens this Friday, with the Medical Oncologist re the chemo schedule.
I saw my GP today & asked if its full speed ahead after Friday. He said "Not really, it can take a while to get started!"
So I guess what I have to learn is not to anticipate 'what & when', because so far, I've been in the habit of thinking sooner than later. I guess 'speculation' is another word, and I try to stay away from that, because 'Whatever will be, will be!' I say "It's hard to make other plans, when you don't know!" . . . News Flash: Oh yah! Covid restrictions! What plans?
How is Richard doing? He's definitely declined since we saw him last week. His body grows weaker each day. He sleeps a lot. Today, Larry responded to the strict visitor rules, in setting up a Zoom, so he could sing to Richard. I was happy to pray with him, as it is something we have done together throughout our friendship. Each time I'd say "Can I pray with you?" He'd reply "Of course!" He lay very still, with no sign of being aware, until he was asked "What do you think?" He turned to face the camera, smiled (as much as he could) and gave a wave. That was so wonderful to know that the beautiful words Larry was singing to him were felt & appreciated. Richard knows he's been part of blog entries for some time, and greatly appreciates the prayers of so many he has never even met and many whom he has.
Today my doctor zapped 2 spots on my face with his 'new nitro glycerin' gun. I have a dime size bubble on my nose for now that will turn into something quite 'special' tomorrow. Never thought I'd be happy to wear a mask, but it hides the 2 spots that won't be pretty for a while.
I just got off the phone with my brother Michael. He went to Victoria from Lady Smith for surgery today. He's doing well & behaving. Please pray for his recovery. Thank you.
Yesterday we had a delightful 'outdoor' lunch at my sister & bro-in-love's home in Tsawwassen. We've really missed that. It was wonderful to catch up. She prefaced a lot of what she said with "You can't put this in your blog!" So I won't.
My doctor gave me a 'note' to show to the Vaccine clinic 'people'. We went to a small pharmacy across the street. I'm too old,( not 55 to 65) and I'm too young for the big lineups at the vaccine centres. No one wants to see my doctor's note! Oh well! I've registered on line & on the phone, so I'll go when I'm called.
Thank you for checking in. Thank you so much for your love and support. I appreciate the prayers which have produced much grace to carry me (us) though this process.
Be assured of my prayers for you!
