KISSED BY AN ANGEL

Thurs. Aug. 12, 2021

This is my final week of 5 weeks of radiation treatments. About 10 days ago I experienced the presence of the Archangel Raphael. I had been calling on him to pray for me for a few weeks, since reading about him from the Book of Tobit in the Bible. Archangel Raphael is among the best-known angels. He shows incredible kindness and immense power, as an overseer of healing and as guide to those who take on healing roles (doctors, therapists, etc.)

With each radiation treatment, I silently pray for the ‘team’, all patients they will treat that day, and for my healing. So, this is what’s happened over the past 10 days as I lie there, receiving treatment:

1st time: “Hey St. Raphael, you wanna pray with me!” He replied “Are you kidding? I’m on the job 24/7. You’re praying with me!” (We both were quite cheeky!)

2nd time: He said, mimicking the way I spoke to him the day before: “Hey Catherine, you wanna pray with me?”

3rd time: No words. He stood at my feet and gently held them throughout the treatment.

4th & 5th time: He stood behind me and wrapped his wings around me to filter the radiation from damaging healthy cells, only allowing for cancer cells to be destroyed.

7th time until now: St. Raphael stands at my head and wraps his wings around me, silently praying with me.

6th time: Again, he stood behind me, enfolding me in his wings, then he kissed me on my forehead. It was so overwhelmingly beautiful; I began to sob. Once before I experienced such a powerful presence of an angel. See the Psalm below, which speaks of my experiences.

Tomorrow is my last session. Radiation has not been at all awful to bear, and now, the staff, who I’ve called my angels before, aren’t the only ‘angels’ I’ll miss.

Psalms 91:11-12

For He will give His angels charge concerning you,

To guard you in all your ways.

They will bear you up in their hands,

That you do not strike your foot against a stone.

May the angels protect your going out and your coming in! God bless you! xoxo
