A PICTURE SPEAKS 1,000 WORDS & STIRS UP WONDERFUL EMOTIONS

Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022

Hi. For the past few days, we've been going through boxes, & boxes of old photos. Most of them not in categories or any sort of order. So many wonderful memories of being together, Larry & I, with Jason & Shane, generations of family & gatherings, wonderful friends, church & community volunteer events, travelling, and a whole bunch of other great stuff, including black & whites from 80 - 100 yrs. ago. Photos keep memories alive and , return the feelings/emotions I experienced at that time.

The above photo was so faded out, I could easily have passed over it. I'm so happy I could get at least some definition. Though the quality is poor, it brilliantly stirs up so much love & joy that a young Mom experiences with her little darlings!   The other day, I burst into tears, as I tried to explain to our niece (who is soon to be a Mommy) that a certain photo of her at age 2 triggered the enormous love I felt for her at that very moment, 32 yrs ago.

It's been the perfect stay at home project. Larry sat at the table and it wasn't long before he started "Oh, oh, look at this one! How sweet this one is". Photo sorting has always been my thing, and it's wonderful to do this together.

As I posted in the pics a couple of days ago, my shingles aren't much of an issue any longer. I'm trusting things will just keep improving. I'm disappointed though that my strength & stamina for a decent walk is very compromised by lower back pain. But I'm grateful that I get out each day, and try not to be discouraged if one day is less than more steps than the day before.

I hope you find the kind of 'pick me up' that we have, with our new project of sorting photos. God bless you. Take care! I'm praying for you every day!

Until a couple of days ago, shingles kept me awake all night long. If I have trouble sleeping now, it's because I worked on sorting photos too close to bed time, so 'no photos after dinner'!
