Hi! Yes, we've been taking a trip down memory lane. The dining table has been covered with photos for a couple of weeks now. We're working on one specific project, but of course we've had to sift through hundreds of pics to sort out the ones for an album we're putting together. We're nearing the home stretch now, after organizing in categories and chronologically. Wow! Have we ever had a wonderfully rich life. So much joy! So much celebrating… the little things and of course many special occasions. The photos will mostly be on a stick, but we still like the coffee table photo album to look at together.
As far as how I'm feeling, I know that I'm continuing to recover. However, I keep doing things to myself in my attempt to become more fit. On Monday, Larry & I went on the river walk down by the Pitt Meadows airport. It was 2 degrees with very high winds, (I've since figured out the equation for wind chill, and it came out as -4* C.) Nippy to say the least. I pushed myself and we found ourselves at the end of the walk where it meets the dyke. I knew I had gone beyond the 1/2 way mark, so I asked Larry to go back & bring the car to pick me up. He left me at a picnic table at a warehouse parking lot. on Airport Way. It wasn't long before I had to get moving, so I started walking down the road. There was no way I'd be missed on this wide open road, when Larry drove back for me. Well, he & I don't think the same way. He took a 'back road' behind the warehouses, (which we'd never noticed before). When he couldn't see me, he got out to look around while yelling my name. ("Almost called 911" He said.) In the meantime, my legs were getting really wobbly & I was walking like a drunk person. I took a few breaks along the way, and began to wonder if a branch fell on him. When he backtracked and saw me, wow! Let's just say he expressed his anxiety/relief quite loudly.
So home it's been pretty much all week. I haven't done well with going for walks, so I put mileage on my exercise ball.
My body seized up that evening, and set me into quite the fibromyalgia flair-up, which has pretty much lasted all week. I know it took a lot to make my point, but I'm tired and not editing.
Back to the photos! It is the perfect project if you're in lock down. Can't imagine how organized all my photos would be if I'd have thought of it 2 years ago, when we really were stuck at home. Part of what I've enjoyed is finding very old photos from both our families and sharing them. We've found many treasures, some over 100 yrs old.
It’s a very heartwarming activity. I hope you are finding your own 'heartwarming' things to do, too!
God bless you. xoxo
