Hello! In light of what's going on in Ukraine and this update on little Gracie, there is not one struggle I am having that seems significant to mention. For me trying to brave the slightly choppy waters of my pain, compared to the great tsunamis of suffering & terror of so many others, shifts my focus from my situation, to offering prayers for God's grace to enfold those who's lives are utterly devastated.
This is the update that came yesterday on Gracie!. "Grace is about to begin a very difficult regime of chemotherapy that is very toxic & affects every part of her little body. Please pray for protection over our brave little warrior. Pray for her nerves, her brain, her liver and other filter/detoxifying organs. Pray against the mucositis (chemo induced ulcers through the GI tract). We’ve been warned that due to the intensity of these drugs, we should expect fevers, hospitalizations, & blood transfusions. Also, please keep Greg and I in your prayers. We are not OK. Without going into details, I can tell you that we are completely burnt out and struggling." This certainly puts life into perspective, when I'm tempted to complain over my 'inconveniences'.
God bless you. God bless little Gracie & her parents. God bless Ukraine!
