Hello. Well, once again, I've been thoroughly spoiled with lots of love and good wishes on my birthday, yesterday, today & will be again tomorrow. The card above, was gifted to me by a dear, dear friend. We say that we met at preschool on a donkey cart. Our youngest sons were 3 yrs old in preschool, and we went along to help at a hobby farm field trip. The 'boys' are 43 this year, so we might say we're antiques, or at least 'treasures' to each other for sure.
'Stop & smell the roses!' I know that Larry & I have been blessed to do just that, especially on the many, many times we've gone camping, or time spent in nature.
It's seventy-one, that I am now! I used to think that was old age, but I've changed my mind. The body? Well, it's feeling pretty beaten up right now, so maybe that part doesn't feel young, but my heart & mind are working pretty much like they used to, when I was 20/30 years younger. Only now, I think that freedom to be me, becomes more real every year, and inhibitions have flown out the window. I am who I am, so why would I try to be someone else. Just gotta work on the stuff that's a little less than gracious and be grateful for the gifts I've been given to celebrate with joy living and loving as best I can. Fall down? Of course! Get back up? Worth the try, again & again!
Whenever your birthday is, may you be blessed to enjoy it. "Happy birthday to you!" in case I miss the date!
God bless you! Thank you for loving me! You are in my prayers every day! xoxo
Something I've learned along the way: Look in the face of a child and tell them they are a lovely person and I am so happy to know them! Sounds a bit Mr. Rogers-ie, doesn't it. Well he sure has made a great difference to millions of children. I hope that I've helped make a positive difference to the children who have been placed in my path.
