Hello. Blogging is certainly very, very different than it was a year ago. There was no shortage of 'stuff' to report, whether it was the demands noted on my calendar, or how the 'treatment' of that time was raising havoc, or not. Certainly there was the joy of posting all of our galivants as we could celebrate them. It very much was a roller coaster ride, with not a lot of predictability. Now…. What is this blog all about, and why am I carrying on with it?
The blog's one year account came up for renewal in December 2021. By thenb, my cancer therapies were done & so I thought were the side effects. Larry strongly urged me to carry on, so I did, trusting that it would continue to unfold in a natural way, similar to the way I would respond to a phone call, asking how 'things' were.
So, back to 'What about blogging?' I just wanted the basics when I started, & sure didn't want to take a course on all the 'options'. When I tried to post a few photos at once, from our Tofino trip, a whole new category popped up, for those pics on their own. That's what I'm going to fiddle with now. Also, I enjoy immensely (no exaggeration) taking photos, close-up, of flora & fauna. There are a few people in my life that feel likewise & often send me a photo of something wonderful, in the corner of a garden. So, I'm going to (hopefully) create a file for just that, and invite you to share your work of art, if you like. It's the beauty of nature, a gift meant to be shared. Its purpose? An opportunity, to 'Stop & smell the roses!', so to speak. Or marvel at the dew drops, or veins in a leaf or petal… or beautiful designs of the bark of an ancient tree… you'll see!
Fatigue, weakness, dizziness are the 'hangover' effects that I am working hard to push through, still now. Other than the very tiny steps that my physio has given me, because of a mild sprained ankle (fr. 8 wks ago), I'm adjusting what I want to do, to be in line with what I 'can' do. I know this last sentence describes 'life' for most of you. I have switched from a Keto diet, which wasn't effective as it had been before, then the 'big NO' when my Dr. said that my cholesterol was very high. ( I mentioned this before, I'm sure.) I really enjoy the ingredients of healthy veggie, fruittie, legummie recipes. It's been 3 wks now, and no drop in weight, yet. But I do feel healthier.
So enough chatting! Thanks for hanging in, for whatever reason you do. If I've confused you, you wouldn't be the first one who had trouble 'following the bouncing ball', which are the ideas from my bizzzeee brain.
God bless you with much grace & peace as you try to 'figure out' the challenging things in your own life. xoox
