OK TODAY (09.11.22)

Hello, welcome to Sunday!

I received a text from Shane, while visiting Dad. Larry asked him to film him doing his own oral care. I wondered if he was in some way wanting to reassure me, after the tough day of 'debate' over the distressing things he was expressing. Well, that was exactly it. Upon arriving, he said he was sorry for yesterday & how much he loved me. Then he laid down some ground rules. He didnt need to be told what to do for his rehab, because he is doing physical & speech exercises on his own. The nurse just confirmed that. He told me that it doesn't help for me to talk so much. He doesn't need to know about all the things I tell him. And another "I love you!" Yeaaahhh Larry. I smiled & he said "What?" I told him I was happy that he expressed himself so well ( & his annunciation was so good), & that I always want him to tell me if I am doing anything that bothers him.

I'm so happy that he is able to make the effort he has in self improving many aspects of his being.

He's been a super gentleman with the nurses. They are so gracious in acknowledging his appreciation of them.

A quiet day, especially since I'm not 'talking' as much.

I show the pic above of our grand-niece, Sahra who is 4 this month, as one of many photos I show Larry, that light up his heart, as shown on his face when he sees them. We have a lot of little heart melters in our lives.

I'm at hospital still. 6:00. Larry just asked me if I got some sleep while sitting here. He is very caring & appreciative in his expressions. He repeatedly told me that he wants to do all he can to get better & take care of me. I am so happy for him to have this conviction & determination in regaining what he can in good health & mobility. I pray he has a good sleep tonight & another good day tomorrow. Monday Dialysis is on the menu.

God bless you. Take care!
