Head Shave & Chemo, Fun packed 2 days... not! Carpe Dium

My response to how my 1st treatment was? "Delightful"! So today, although Larry can't stay, I'm not dreading it at all. I'll be well taken care of by a very competent & caring team. My 'beautiful bag of goodies' will keep me nourished in mind, spirit & body!
Now yesterday! That was tough. The Justin Beeber hairdo trim was the least of it. It took Arunee 5.26 minutes to shave my head clean. She cried, I did not. Looking back at the video, I'm pleasantly surprised at my reactions/ responses throughout. I did feel nauseated for a time. Arunee is just the sweetest & caring person. I'm so blessed by her.
As it turns out, my head shape is rather like a large ostrich egg waiting to be decorated.
The scalp is tender, so I'm picky about what goes on it. Thanks to Marna's daughter's generous gift of 20 head wear pieces, I have many options. Beauty, as it turns out is not the priority. That entertained me with all the turbin wraps w/scarves, and I know will do again, but for today, comfort's the priority.
As for Larry! He was very brave when I bared my head when we got home. Nothing needs to be said. I had a twitch of a cry, but not really.
Just 'suck it up, buttercup' & get on with it!
Goff to Abbotsford now! Carpe Dium!
Bye for now. Thank you for your love. I love & appreciate you. XOXO 🌹
