BACK IN THE WORLD

Sunday, May 30, 2021 9:25 AM ( I just noticed that hadn't pasted the following entry at the time I posted this blog....sorry! today is June 11)
Hello! The days since my last chemo on My 20, have not been a picnic. I shared in my last blog entry about the crazy mind altering effects during the chemo session (big drunk), then came the hangover for several days. The neurological leg pain came back in spades. Ugh! Then my blood pressure dropped to as low as 68/41. Apparently, that's really bad!
My GP is awesome. He's told me to 'call, whenever'! He got me to adjust some meds & come in next day, which I did, then follow-up by phone for 2 days.  It's all good now! My brain? Well, not quite sure I could win a game of 'Cranium'. I have, however won several games of rummy with my hubby!
So now what?  *WE'RE GOING CAMPING* thanks to our beautiful, lovely, generous friends, who are parking their RV at Hicks Lake (just past Harrison) starting tomorrow, (Mon.) till Friday. 'Guitar by the campfire!' can't wait. We hardly even have to cook, as meals are flowing in. We are incredibly blessed by the beautiful family & friends God has gifted us with. We are grateful for the love of each person in our lives.
On another note. My dear friend Irene in Osoyoos is going through almost the same as I am re: chemo. She started a few weeks after me. She is so awesome, inspiring & encouraging. I'm ahead of her on the head wrap experimentation, so I'm having fun finding things for her to try. Please pray for Irene & her family. God bless them, each one!
OK, gotta go. We're off to 'drive-in' Mass in a bit. Saying a prayer for you!
May you enjoy the lifting of severe restrictions due to covid. But, hearing what my beautiful niece who has worked the covid unit at hospital since it began, and seen so much death as well as complications affecting lives long after contracting the virus, don't abandon sensibility and healthy respect for what the virus is and can be doing.   xoxoxoo
