LARRY'S THANKSGIVING… WHITE!

Monday, October 11, 2021 10:17 AM

Happy Thanksgiving Day to you & your loved ones!
I am very thankful today, that Larry's enjoying this day with our son at his cabin at a mountain lake N. of Kelowna. So… I guess that tells you what Larry's drive was like once he was on the Coquihalla Hwy. yesterday. He sent a photo of nothing but white, beyond his windshield wipers. I'm hoping today that its settled down and all he sees is the above winter-wonderland.
I'm doing great. Just tired & weak as usual for the day's following chemo. I slept 4 hours on Saturday night & 11 (off & on) last night.
I've already enjoyed one turkey dinner (with leftovers) & a couple offers for more. Remember, my 'cabbage roll soup'? Its thawing as well. No worries for easy meals, I'm set!  I don't need to be baby-sat, and galivanting is not on my 'to do' list for a few more days. I certainly do appreciate the offers and good intentions, but 'quiet' is on the top of my 'to do' list!
After finding (can you imagine) a 'CHEMO HAT' Crochet pattern book last week on the discontinued rack at Michael's, it's gonna be a 'crochet' couple of days.  You just may see what it looks like, if I pay attention (which is not easy with my chemo brain fog) to the pattern instructions.
Larry will go to Williams Lake Tuesday to see his Aunt Rosie, who is having very serious health issues. Cousin Laurie lives with her and, with him already travelling, it's the perfect opportunity for him to go.
He'll be back home Thursday.
Hope your Thanksgiving was/is very blessed. Mine is! xoxoxo
