BITING MY LIP

Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2021 10:15 PM
OK, 'stuff' is happening and getting the upper hand, despite my efforts to ignore it. To 'Bite one's lip!" is an idiom for: Forcing yourself not to express the negative emotions you're feeling. Which for this blog, may be considered a lie of omission, as I promised to be honest in my sharing!
So here's the deal! I've had screaming lower back pain that just won't quit. I pretty much get out of bed in the morning, smear on the A535 ointment & take 2 Xtra strength Tylenol. If I don't, I can't really do anything that requires standing or walking. I know some of you are nodding your heads, understanding exactly how that feels. So the daily walking has not come about. If I do anything around the house, especially cooking/baking, or a trip to the store, it's enough to do me in for the day. I'm calling my doctor tomorrow. Not looking for a quick cure, but at least some relief so I can function over the next two weeks in a reasonable way.
Oh, and that advice about claiming the slabs of fat that have found a home in my cheeks, neck & belly, as my battle scars, to be worn proudly???? Not happening! For one who has been on a diet since I was 10 years old, and not particularly enjoying the way I looked (at times) in photos,,, extra 'chubby' is not something that's not a big deal for me. I felt good when I lost 30 pounds a couple of years ago. Well, guess what? Its back, plus! Really struggling with the 'power of positive thinking' on this one.
So here we are! Rough sailing today! Looking forward to a calmer sea tomorrow. Crappy days aren't usually consecutive for me. I'll be sure to send you a real smile next time! I might even show you my itty bitty new hair!
I heard this said once: "I'm tired of this day! I'll go to bed now and have a brand new one tomorrow!"
Hope your crappy days are short, few & far between! God bless you. xooo
