SUN'S LAST KISS
Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021
Hi. Just a quick check-in, so you know I'm doing better!
My doctor prescribed something to help with the lower back pain. Hopefully the pharmacy got the fax & I can pick it up tomorrow.
My kitchen has turned into a Christmas bakery. Trying to get the cookies packaged quickly before they continue 'evaporating' , like they have been doing.
Yesterday I gave a talk on my journey 'in grace' through cancer to a North American Caribbean group that zooms each Wed. For each testimony given, 4 people respond. They were all so loving and affirming. Larry & I have been participating off & on for the past 18 months. There are enthusiastic greetings, each time a new face pops up on the screen. Many shout out my name with such joy when they see me. It makes me feel very special, even though some express the same enthusiasm for each person. One in particular makes you feel like you've come to a party. I have to remember his example.
We popped out today to lend friends our Santa/Nana Claus duds, so they could get photos with their grand-baby. It was a lot of fun. On the way home, the sun was setting. My sister Erin calls it 'the sun's last kiss', as the mountains to the east (Golden Ears) are sometimes set on fire with bright sun turning the snowy mountain pink. That sure was the case today. Larry & I get kind of crazy, trying to drive to the perfect spot. But as always, one of our favorites is the reflection of the mountains on the flooded cranberry fields in Pitt Meadows.
I appreciate your concern for my rather 'rough' report, last time, but I'm rising above it, thank you.
God bless you. Take care. Hope you get to enjoy the 'Sun's last kiss!' the next time it happens. xoxoo
BTW: Little (3 yr. old) Gracie is back on chemo treatment and suffering with the sores in her mouth & digestive tract.
