HOPE FOR GRACE ON THE LONG ROAD AHEAD
April 25, 2022
Update on Grace from her Mom: "Grace had to spend a little time In hospital this week in order to receive a transfusion of platelets. It turned out to be a great opportunity for her to reconnect with all the nurses who have come to know and love her over this journey. Grace has now received the most intense chemo that she will receive. By the end of June she will have completed this phase. She will then begin - Long Term Maintenance, which consists of cycles of treatment that will continue until December 2023. The family's focus this summer will be to get Grace outdoors to play and enjoy the sunshine and good food. Her parents are extremely grateful for all of your prayers and support and ask that you will continue. It has taken a world wide 'village' to help raise Grace and keep her safe through this treacherous journey in the early years of her little life. Thank you to all!"
In light of the terrible suffering of this little sweetheart through her cancer treatments that are consuming her time as a toddler, it's what I have to remember if at any time I feel I'm going through much of a struggle. As her mom has said in the past, her character is being shaped into that of a warrior. Gracie is my hero! God bless her through this all!
