HOLDING PRECIOUS LITTLE ONES IN OUR HEART
Wednesday, May 11, 2022
We are so blessed to have four healthy, new baby girls added to our family over the past 3 months. The twins went home 10 days ago from hospital. They weren't even due for a couple of more weeks from now.
Each day I receive prayer requests on a nation-wide prayer line. In February prayers were requested for a newborn girl 'Elena' who had to have a tracheotomy, which she'll need in order to breathe, for at least a couple or more years. She has never left hospital. This week we were asked to add to our prayers for her present situation. Elena has Covid. I can't imagine how frightened her parents are. It's not 'just a bad cold' for her, it's serious. Hopefully the added health challenge will disappear quickly.
The latest baby we've been asked to pray for is a boy who was born weighing 1.9 lbs. Can't imagine the intense/critical care this little one needs. Bless his parents through this terribly stressful time.
For these babies' medical teams, and all medical personnel, may they be given the grace to make the best decisions and give the best possible care for these precious wee patients.
We prayed for a year, 5 years ago, for a preemie who did not go home from hospital for almost a year after she was born. 'Grandma' is happy to tell me that this little one is starting kindergarten in September. A really delicate and rough year they all persevered through, to rejoice in the lively life of a toddler, that quickly progressed after that first year. Let's hope and pray that Elena, the tiny, tiny little boy, and all delicate little ones fare as well.
Thank you. God bless you.
