HOORAY FOR A LITTLE CHANGE 08.03.22

Hello! Thank you for checking in on Larry!
Larry did move his eyes to look at me. It's been 7 days since our eyes last met. It felt sooooo so good! It seems that yesterday's dialysis did the job in eliminating toxins that interfere with brain function. There still were times when Larry did not respond to commands, but the times that he did were great. He is wiggling his tongue around his mouth, feeling the tubes that are still there & hopefully won't be tomorrow. A couple of times the hand squeezing was voluntary. Dialysis for 3 hrs is on the schedule for tomorrow & they will see if the tubes can be removed, to free his mouth. The feeding tube again will be inserted into his nose & down the hatch.
When I am beside him, I loosen the restraints to free his wrists. Today, he was very much relaxed while sitting in a chair, tucked in with a warm blanket & socks, while I massaged his hands with Vit. E cream. We were both very relaxed when the last style of music playing on the tablet, was beautiful Gregorian chant. I stepped out today, to go to the lab for blood tests, as I have my 9 month follow-up appointment with my medical oncologist on Friday by phone.
I had a delightful treat for the ride home. My cousin brought my 2 aunties along for the ride & a wee visit. They are my most loyal prayer warriors. I am so blessed to still have them in my life.
Before we headed to Surrey, Geraldine & I rendezvoused with a friend who said she had 'something' for Larry & I. I felt an energy of 'something' as I took the gift bag. There is so much love contained in this gift! It is a 'spiritual bouquet', which was beautifully put together & laminated. It contains the prayers & sacrifices that are being offered for Larry & I, with names & beautiful sentiments of loving support. It will be wonderful when Larry can focus more, to see this beautiful gift.
I've been awake since 5:30 a.m. with a 10 minute nap before I left for hospital, so I'm pretty much done right now. Good night, sleep tight. God bless you! Looking forward to more progress tomorrow!
